Meet Our Founder

Search Senior was founded by Lindsey Sabini, a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist based in Boulder, Colorado, who has dedicated her career to ensuring that every senior, regardless of health status or financial situation, has access to communities that truly enrich their quality of life.

Lindsey grew up in Kansas City, where her passion for senior care took root early. As a teenager, she volunteered at local assisted living communities and quickly noticed something that would shape her entire career: the enormous gap between facilities that treated seniors as people and those that simply managed them. That distinction, between living and merely being housed, became the driving force behind everything she's built.

After earning her degree in Recreational Therapy, Lindsey spent over a decade working across the full spectrum of senior living, from independent living and active adult communities to assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing facilities. She designed activity programs for residents with advanced dementia, led wellness initiatives at continuing care retirement communities, and consulted with facilities looking to transform their approach to resident engagement.

Through that work, Lindsey saw firsthand how difficult it is for families to find the right community. The information is scattered, reviews are unreliable, and the most important details, the ones that actually affect daily life, are nearly impossible to find online. Families were making one of the biggest decisions of their lives with incomplete information and enormous stress.

Search Senior was born from that frustration. Lindsey set out to build the resource she wished existed: a platform where families can find transparent, detailed, and honest information about senior living communities, with the perspective of someone who has walked the halls, knows what to look for, and understands what truly makes a community exceptional.
